Sandwich and Ravioli? No, They're Really Girl Scout Cookie Desserts

Several chefs went way out this year to come up with unusual creations for the annual Baker's Dozen Cookie Dessert Bake-off at the Radisson Plaza Hotel & Suites.

What looked like a sandwich, for example, was actually a dessert. Another dessert looked like ravioli with tomato sauce. But the dessert that the judges ruled had the best flavor and overall appeal was a lemon ricotta cheesecake.

The People's Choice Award, determined by the sold-out house of 400 people at the event a few Tuesday nights ago, went to Tagalong Cheesecake. If there were an award for best texture, that would have gone to Elvis' Dream Come True.

Lots of money was raised through ticket sales, silent auctions, raffle, and a live auction. I even sponsored a table and invited nine of my friends to one of the most fun nights I go to each year. Everyone had a great time, but most importantly the Girl Scouts were the true winners.
