Pam's New Music Downloads

Kathleen Edwards' new CD, Asking for Flowers, is backed by rousing piano and guitar. Edwards croons the ABC's of dumping an egomaniac: "A is for all the time times I bit my tongue . . ." on the track "The Cheapest Key".

Vocalist-songwriter Elena Skye delivers the haunting bluegrass ballad, "Thank You Claudia", off the Demolition String Band's, new CD Different Kinds of Love.

Tift Merrritt broke through the Nashville establishment back in 2004. On this alt-country disc, Another Country, she again makes a refreshing alternative to the usual suspects with the track "Broken".

Known for pulsating electronica, the British duo Goldfrapp play more to the coffeehouse than the club this time out on Seventh Tree. "Caravan Girl," is a fun-filled, danceable ride.

When punk-popsters come of age, they often experiment with more complex sounds. Simple Plan branches out with their self-titled CD. "When I'm Gone," is catchy-synth-rock anthem.
